Hi there, I’m Kate!

I’m probably nursing a toddler, reading Narnia to my six-year-old, and drinking a raw milk latte in the sunshine. 

My love for good books was born from a childhood filled with the best my mom could offer us, and she laid a rich feast! I aim to carry on this legacy in our family as I seek to steer my three souls toward good, beautiful, and true things of Christ and for his kingdom.

We live in a revamped 1965 Spartan aluminum trailer on four sprawling acres in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. We are catechumens in the Eastern Orthodox Christian faith with an intentional but common family culture. We rely on ample forgiveness and grace and aim to offer you a small window into our non-traditional life. My homeschool style is a mix of rich classical Christian homeschool, go-play-outside, good books, Charlote-mason-waldorf-inspired poetic mode, and open-and-go, with some Little Bear mixed in.
